Michelle is our Insurance Claims Advocate. She has over 16 years of experience in the health insurance industry, specializing in Medicare and Medicaid. Her career began in the claims department, where she developed a strong foundation in understanding claim processing. This knowledge allowed her to expand into the appeals and grievance process, helping individuals navigate their insurance benefits more effectively.
A thorough understanding of how claims are processed is essential in identifying billing errors and ensuring that benefits are applied correctly. From her own experience handling medical bills, she learned firsthand the importance of verifying coverage details and ensuring coordination between healthcare providers and insurance companies. After receiving a bill she believed to be incorrect, she reviewed her benefits, identified an error, and successfully worked with both the provider and insurer to correct it—ensuring that payments were applied accurately.
She earned her degree in Business Management from Towson University and has dedicated her career to helping individuals understand and maximize their health insurance benefits. Navigating the healthcare system can often feel overwhelming, but she finds great fulfillment in simplifying complex processes and empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their coverage.
Outside of her professional work, she was born and raised in Maryland and married her wonderful husband in 2018. Together, they have two beautiful and energetic children. She has a passion for cooking, baking, and traveling. Whether assisting others with insurance matters or supporting them in pursuing their passions, she is dedicated to guiding and uplifting those she works with. She looks forward to helping others on their journey.
