Sandra is our Insurance and Billing expert. Sandra brings 20 years experience as a Professional Medical Biller. In her role as a Professional Medical Biller, she educates patients about their insurance coverage, including benefits, limitations and out of pocket costs. She also helps with submitting necessary documentation to ensure claims are filed and paid correctly. She can identify billing errors and helps patients understand their medical bills.
As a resourceful advocate with Stepping Stone Advocacy Services, she can help you tackle medical charges and fight for insurance benefits.
Her passion for helping others began in high school where she volunteered in a hospital and nursing home setting. She is versed in both Medical and Dental working as an office manager at an Internal Medicine practice. She has also worked for an orthopedic office that had physical therapy and a chiropractor’s office too, and did the scheduling and insurance billing for all 3, as well as booking all hospital surgeries. She also has extensive experience as a billing manager for an oral Maxillofacial Surgery practice, which included 5 offices.
When Sandra is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and her 5 fur babies.
